Who We Are
Global Underwater Explorers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization representing a global network of GUE communities around the world that promotes underwater education, conservation, and exploration. Midwest Underwater Explorers (MWUE) is an official GUE community composed of members from the USA's Midwest and Great lakes region.
Our Goal
Midwest Underwater Explorers is promoting and implementing Global Underwater Explorers' activities in the Midwest USA through the building and leadership of a regional community of passionate divers, empowered by high-quality training and organized to support wide-ranging diving activities. These communities contain and partner with dedicated explorers, conservationists, and scientific researchers to conduct a diversity of aquatic initiatives within the region and promote collaboration with other GUE communities.
Our Purpose
Keep an eye on Facebook for announcements of visiting GUE instructors, informal meet-ups and trips further afield to advance underwater conservation, education and exploration as the vaccine roles out and its becomes safer and easier to travel. As a GUE community, we are group of volunteer members creating opportunities for divers to advance GUE Goals. Together. All divers are responsible for their own arrangement with the local facility and for ensuring they dive safely within their training.
