From local meetups to organized trips to virutal meets, MWUE keeps the calendar of events full year-round!
Local Meetups
MWUE meetups happen on charters, at local quarries and lakes, hell, even in your neighbor’s pool! These meets are often member-generated. Local favorite spots include Mermet Springs, Gilboa Quarry, Pearl Lake, and Lake Wazee. Camping, community meals, and conviviality often accompany these meets.

Organized Trips
The MWUE Board and membership are constantly organizing trips across the Great Lakes, often leveraging a trusted network of charter operators, to visit the endless array of pristine shipwrecks offered by the turbulent inland seas. We also regularly organize trips outside the Midwest, to cave dive in Florida or the Yucatan, or as far afield as Northern Europe.

Virtual Meets
During the offseason, MWUE hosts a series of virtual meets on Zoom featuring presentations from leading dive industry professionals on varied topics. Virtual meets have been attended by divers afar as Japan, Australia, and all over Europe and North America. 2023/2024 meets so far have included Guy Shockey, Doug Ebersole, Francesco Camelli, Ivo Chiarino, Emoke Wagner, and Neal Pollack.
